Your timeline through ADF General Entry
Step 1
Apply Online through ADF Careers
Submit an application expressing interest to join the Australian Defence Force through the ADF Careers portal. You will create an account with all your details and input your job preferences.
Step 2
ADF Aptitude Test
Once you have applied, you will be sent a link to complete an ADF Aptitude Test that will test your cognitive ability. You will have only once chance at this so ensure you are well prepared. Access our free test below
Step 3
YOU Session
The “Your Opportunities Unlimited” (YOU) Session involves aptitude testing, job selection counselling, and career exploration. This step helps align your skills and interests with the right role in the ADF.
Step 4
ADF Assessment Day
A comprehensive evaluation day involving medical checks, psychological assessments, and interviews to determine your suitability for service. This is a critical step towards enlistment.

Enlistment and Training
